Description
A full-bodied fruity style of Merlot. The Hunter fruit still has plenty of structure allowing for a more complex integration of flavours on the palate. Aromas of sweet cinnamon and spiced plums begin the tasting experience. This is followed by a combination of red currants and earthy spices such as nutmeg and hints of cloves, which are encased in a light cherry red liquid. The palate has a refreshing finish and chills down beautifully for the hot summer months.
CELLARING It will cellar well for 3 to 5 years so enjoy it at your leisure.
FOOD Merlot complements the umami flavours in foods such as roast chicken, mushrooms and parmesan. It will also match well with a range of Italian dishes, especially tomato based.
